BURAIMOH CHARGES PLANK DEALERS ON CURBING ILLEGAL TREE FELLING

The Plank Dealers Association in Kwara State have been charged to be diligent and proactive in discharging their responsibilities for growth and development of the state. 
 
 The State Commissioner for Environment, Honourable Abosede Olaitan gave this charge in Ilorin during a visit by the state Plank Dealers Association to her office .

Buraimoh stressed the need to work in synergy with the association for smooth working relationship.

She stated that the body had to play its role effectively in curbing illegal activities such as indiscriminate tree felling by some of their members or workers in the field. 

"Everyone has his or her responsibility to play for the state. When you came across any illegality such as cutting down of trees, the association can challenge such act and bring it to the notice of the ministry

This will go along way in curbing the act .So play your own part for the betterment of the state." She added

The Commisioner described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a peaceful and loving man who had the desire of the citizen living a comfortable life.

In his remarks, the Director, Forestry, Alhaji Babatunde Idris Mahmud,q appreciated their past cooperation and support to the ministry.

He urged them not to relent in their support to the ministry, assuring them of the ministry's support whenever the need arises.

The President, Kwara State Plank Dealers Association, Alhaji Muritala Olounoje, while speaking on behalf of the association, expressed joy for the hospitality portrayed by the commissioner, promising that they will contribute immensely towards the development and progress of the state.
