COMMISSIONER CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY AMONG ORPHANS.   The Commissioner for Environment, Hon Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh celebrates her birthday at the Kwara State Children Reception Centre, Orphanage home at Pipeline Road,Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin today to show affection and belongings. This in line with the past norms of the commissioner to  always celebrate her  special day with the orphans for the last 10 years. According to her" l love children alot and this has been part of my calling to help people especially the children and the aged ones, l give to them because l don't expect to get it back from them It is good to help people around us, we should not always expect to get the reward but we should be assured that God will repay us all our kindness". Kwara First Lady Congratulates Elerin @80, Coronation Anniversary

The Kwara State First Lady Ambassador Dr Olufolake AbdulRazaq has congratulated His Royal Highness, the Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Ibrahim (MFR), Olusookun II on his 40th coronation anniversary and 80th birthday celebrations. Mrs Abdulrazaq said this today,  during her visit to  the Royal Father's palace at Erinle, in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State. KWSG To Partner NILH in Combating Global Warming

The Kwara State Government has expressed its willingness to partner the Nigeria Institute of Landscape Horticulture (NILH) and other allied Institutions in combating the effects of global warming. The State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq disclosed the willingness today at the 15th Annual General Conference of the Institute held at the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Ilorin. The Conference, themed "Greening and Global Warming: Landscape Horticulturist's Perspective has in attendance Members of the Institute, Horticultural Experts, Farmers, and Government Officials, among others. The Governor, who was represented by the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Kwara State Monthly Sanitation Exercise Holds Saturday January 29th, 2022.

This is to inform the general public that the monthly sanitation exercise for the month of January will hold on Saturday 29th, 2022 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Members of the public are hereby enjoined to fully participate in the sanitation exercise by cleaning their residential and business environments.   Everybody is expected to stay at home to clean up their surroundings.                           The monitoring agencies will be on ground to monitor compliance and it will be strictly observed across all the 16 Local Government Areas in the  State.      According to a release issued by the Ministry of Environment, there will be no vehicular and human movement except  those on essential services. Violators of Environmental Laws during the sanitation exercise would be tried and sanctioned by Mobile Courts stationed at designated points across the State.     Waste management...

DESIST FROM INDISCRIMINATE DUMPING- KWSG

The Kwara State Government has appealed to the people of the state to desist from dumping wastes indiscriminately and maintain environmental cleanliness to promote a healthy livelihood. The state Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh made this appeal during an inspection tour round in Ilorin metropolis. The Commissioner who embarked on the tour in company of the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Pastor Abraham Kola Ojo, the Director of Environment, Mr Towoju Gabriel and health officers explained that the exercise became imperative in order to enlighten the public about health hazards of indiscriminate waste disposal. Banigbe Salutes Ministry Staff

The Outgone Commissioner for Environment, Mrs Remilekun Oluwatobi Banigbe has commended the support and cooperation of the Management and Staff of the Ministry during her  stay in office. Banigbe made this commendation during her farewell meeting with the top Management Staff of the Ministry in her office today. Banigbe, who was one of the affected Commissioner in the recent minor cabinet reshuffle by the Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration said the move was tailored towards improved service  delivery to the people of the state. She advised the Management team to improve on the established discipline in their daily activities in order to achieve better results in their respective areas of responsibility.
