HON. BURAIMOH FELICITATES WITH GOV. ABDULRAZAQ ON 62ND BIRTHDAY



Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh has congratulated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his  birthday.

Hon Buraimoh, in a statement, described the governor as a visionary leader to be admired by everyone who has the initiative of propelling the state to irreversible greatness and clamouring for the wellbeing of the people.

The Commissioner applauded the leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq personality of capacity and competency as worth of emulation that deserves an encomium.

She said his administration has expanded and liberalised  the state economy to greater height, putting the state on the path of peace and progress through massive investment in all spheres of the sector.

She said "I really appreciate the Governor for giving hope to the hopeless, not being a gender bias leader, not being sentimental about women leadership, and always proning for the success of everyone.

It is my sincere prayer that  God bless your new age,. increase you with good health and abundance of the good things of life, grant you wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to stardom".

Illegal Itakudima Dumpsite To Be Evacuated- Banigbe

Against the backdrop of the rising wave of illegal dumpsites within Ilorin, the  Kwara State Capital, the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Remilekun Banigbe, yesterday paid an unscheduled visit to Itakudima, Zuban Area,  in Ilorin West Local Government, to assess the volume of wastes at the illegal dumpsite in the area. The visit was part of the state government's efforts to curtail illegal dumpsites, especially in the Ilorin metropolis. The Commissioner, who was accompanied on the visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Dupe Adekeye, noted that the waste has constituted a big threat, as well as posing a serious danger to the people living in the area. Banigbe explained that the visit will enhance the prompt attention of the state government's intervention team to evacuate the refuse on time.
